The North Goa District Mineral Foundation (DMF) financed the purchase of utensils and water purifiers for 97 Aanganwadis across North Goa to improve hygiene and nutrition standards for young children. The procurement was done by the Directorate of Women & Child through Goa State Co-operative Marketing and Supply Federation Ltd. The distribution ceremony for Bicholim was done at the hands of Dr Chandrakant Shetye, Hon’ble MLA of Bicholim, and also the members of the Governing Council NGDMF. This initiative ensures access to clean drinking water and better meal preparation facilities, directly benefiting the health and wellbeing of more than 500 kids in 97 Anganwadi centres. The DMF’s support reinforces its commitment to improving community welfare in mining-affected areas.
