This project setup of augmentation of drinking water supply was inaugurated on 16 July 2023. This installation of a floating pontoon and a 422 HP water pump on the Ganjem River, New Mhadei Dam has significantly improved access to clean and safe drinking water for 1,965 households, benefiting approximately 9,800 villagers. Equipped with submersible pumps, the system ensures a continuous and efficient water supply, addressing previous issues of water shortages and contamination.

Before this initiative, villagers had to rely on unfiltered water sources, leading to health risks and waterborne diseases. However, with the purification units now operating at full capacity, households receive safe, potable water, reducing health hazards and improving overall hygiene and well-being.
This initiative has been a lifeline for the community, ensuring that families no longer struggle for basic water access. The improved supply has also supported local agriculture, sanitation, and daily household needs, enhancing the quality of life for thousands of residents.
